A Few Favorites

Here were are at a Bangerter overpass, where I've always wanted to go take some pictures. We were actually there for a reason other than taking pictures, but I couldn't resist. I've realized that I have some favorite subjects that I always photograph. So bringing them to you again.....

Kaden's Birthday Party

A beautiful day for an outside party! I had to post this first pic because I always wanted a Power Wheels car when I was younger! They looked so fun!

Sadie is quite the "mother type." She would often lead little Luke around and help the other kids.

Mom says Luke HATES bath time. He sure didn't have a problem getting in the water of the slip n' slide over and over!

For Kaden's birthday we got him pickles! Doesn't that sound like the best gift ever? We should have gotten a bigger jar. There were only 2 left by the time we left.

The girls decided thy were Bumble Bees. :)

Kaden doesn't quite get the concept of how to "slip n' slide" yet. Notice how he goes the entire lenght of it on his feet. He also doesn't get the concept of how to say it yet. He often called it "Slip and Lide" or "Slippery Lide" or other variations. Darn cute!

Holly and Jeremy

This obviously wasn't taken by me, but I've had a few requests for a picture of us. So thanks Thia!

Anticipation for the Summer

With only 9 days of school left, I can't help but think about the summer o' fun waiting ahead. While thinking of what's ahead, I thought of last summer's good times. These pictures are almost a year old, but make me excited for the other things I will see soon: temples outside of Utah, beautiful cities with buildings so tall SLC doesn't even compare, and great food! Welcome Summer of 2009!

(Think it looks good? It was even BETTER than that!)

One Random Spring Day

Sometimes it's nice to just take some pictures. This day friends gathered together just to take some. They may seem a random assortment, but that's what this day was.

Here's Jenny. She will always know more about photography and have more raw talent than I ever will (she's probably denying that statement right now), but she is always kind enough to share what she knows. This was one of those moments she was helping me learn. Don't judge her based on my inability to do what she told me to do.

Thia was being a little silly this day, but that's Thia! I was happy to capture the moment.

Poor Jeremy, he's always around (wahoo!) so he is often the subject of my work. Does he look tired of it? :) He's a good sport.

After pictures we took a hike up Ensign Peak. I shot this one from "the hip." I wasn't looking, but I love the blue sky emphasis instead of the just the city.

BuBbleS

I saw a picture someone took with bubbles and thought it would be fun to try it! It didn't turn out how I intended, but it was definitely fun! I'll be trying it again sometime. McKenna (niece)was my model again as well as Kaden (nephew).

Kaden was taking a nap before we started so this is him just waking up and not quite excited yet. Cute (and dirty) kid.

I love looking at his lips as he blows as only a little kid can.

Little Miss Poser

I'm not great at posing people, but there is no need with McKenna. Her mom takes her picture all the time, so she must be used to arranging herself. She is such a poser! Check out her self-inspired arm positions and head tilts!

Oh Mr. Sun!

This was an experiment with the sun and sunspots. Just remember! Don't stare directly into the sun!
