American Fork

So I saw this awesome picture online of an old barn in American Fork so I told my friends we had to go there. Once there we found out they charge $20 to take pictures there. We opted to keep our money and look for a different place to shoot.

Luckily, with us that day was Jackson (below....taken a different day).

Jackson knew some other cool places to try out down there. AND we got to see cows!! How much better can it get? Here's our day of fun!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Jeremy had the day off and so we decided to go the the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. I love the temples and how beautiful they are! I love them even more for the sweet peace and loving spirit of our Heavenly Father that is there.

I lovingly refer to McKenna in these shots as "Cousin It." Her hair would fall in her face and she wouldn't do a thing! I have so many pictures of her with her hair blocking her smile and eyes each time!

Amazingly enough, I got her to uncover that face of her long enough to snap a photo.

West Fest

Every year near the end of June we celebrate West Fest, when West Valley became a city. We fight crowds of people and millions of parked cars just to watch the fireworks. I'm too cheap to pay the ridiculous amount to actually go on the rides. I don't buy any of the food that is also ridiculously priced. Why fight all of this to watch 15 minutes of fireworks? One word, brought to you this week by Tevye and the Fiddler on the Roof: TRADITION!

(I didn't bring my tripod with me, thus the blurry images, but everyone loves fireworks, so I wanted to share anyway.)

How does this work?!?

I swear he started out ALL the way on the bed!

There are pictures of me as a child and the weird positions I slept in, but that doesn't mean I understand how it happens.

3 Cute Boys

I got to take pictures of my friend's boys (Carson, Ian, and Braxton) today. They were so cute! It was quite the task trying to keep the 3 of them smiling and looking at me. Even the M&Ms I brought didn't completely solve my problem! But I love the result! I am also in love with the orange wall (don't get jealous Jeremy).

Bridals with Dawn

I got to go take pictures with Thia for her co-worker, Dawn. I've never done bridals before. It was fun, though I wouldn't say it's my favorite. I had fun messing around with some different paintbrushes for effect on some of the pics.

Lightning

Just the other day I was watching it rain and I thought to myself, "It would be so cool to catch some lightning on camera." What do you know? A few days later there was some lightning! I shot them through my bedroom window's screen, so that's why there are lines going through it. I was pretty excited to catch them since one obviously doesn't know where it's going to strike!

This first one is brighter than the second. That's just how it was! I actually darkened the image some so you could see the ray(though the coloring is natural), whereas the other one is how it is. Cool stuff!
